In the 45 years since 71 students made up the university’s first class, ‘Starship SCAD’ has grown to four locations, over 100 degree programs, more than 17,000 current students and 60,000 alumni, with more than 2,200 alone in the School of Animation and Motion… and a brand-new Midtown Atlanta expansion that includes a 700-seat theater, SCADshow, that will host the festival, running September 28-30.
Running September 28-30, the 3-day digital media festival features screenings, panel discussions, and presentations from SCAD Alumni students, alumni and industry creatives; tickets go on sale August 31.
Running September 22-24, the festival will feature screenings, panel discussions, presentations, and talent from Hulu and Netflix, SCAD Alumni, as well as the debut of SCAD Atlanta’s new XR stage; passes are now on sale.
Two days of streaming conversations and panels led by industry leaders and SCAD alumni include ‘Industry Insights: The ABCs of NFTs,’ ‘Building the Metaverse,’ ‘Alumni Voices,’ and ‘In Conversation: Inclusive Character Design in Gaming.’
