The 4th Annual Golden Marble Awards celebrates excellence in children's advertising. Launched in 1998, the show was founded by KidScreen magazine in partnership with seven leading industry ad agencies: Foote, Cone & Belding; Grey Advertising; Griffin Bacal; J. Walter Thompson; Leo Burnett; Ogilvy & Mather; Saatchi & Saatchi; Young & Rubicam; and YTV Canada Inc. 2001 sponsors include: Boards Magazine, Nelvana Enterprises and YTV. A team of judges will judge entries in 32 categories. In conjunction with the awards there will be the Advertising & Promoting to Kids conference.

Returning to New York, the annual Advertising & Promoting To Kids conference (APK) will feature the best line-up of kids experts ever. In its 30th year, the Mobius Advertising Awards are one of the world's top awards for television, radio, print and package design advertising. Films produced, aired or re-introduced in the last twelve months are eligible. Last year's competition saw over 5,000 entries from 36 countries. The 15th Annual London International Advertising Awards will showcase the best in the world of advertising. The competition takes entries from interactive media, package design, radio, print and television/cinema. This year's jury chairman for the print, radio and television/cinema division will be commercial director Trevor Beattie. The chairman for the interactive jury will be David Streek of Deepend Design. Last year the awards had 17,226 entries from 84 countries.

Renegade Animation Launches Animation Service For Web Ads

Burbank, California-based Renegade Animation, which specializes in producing cel-animated television commercials, has launched a new service to provide cel-style animation for advertising on the Internet. As the service's first job, FMT Advertising, New York, has contracted Renegade to create an animated Internet cartoon series for its client BulkRegister.com. The series, consisting of five 90-second episodes, parodies "dot com" culture, while promoting BulkRegister.com's ability to register large quantities of domain names.

New York Festivals' International Print & Radio Advertising Awards
