Jonas Rasmussen’s intimate and powerful 2D film tells the untold story of his long-time friend Amin’s life as a gay child growing up in Kabul before his escape via Russia to Denmark.
Ten prizes are awarded at Annecy 2016, including the Festivals Connexion Award, the Junior Jury Award for a Graduation Film, and the Junior Jury Award for a Short Film.

Best Animated Feature contenders are ‘Adama,’ directed by Simon Rouby; ‘April and the Twisted World,’ directed by Christian Desmares and Franck Ekinci; and ‘The Little Prince,’ directed by Mark Osborne.
Four feature-length films make up this year’s official selection: ‘La Montagne Magique,’ (‘The Magic Mountain’), ‘Pos Eso’ (‘Possessed’), ‘Adama,’ and ‘Over The Garden Wall.’
Special Prizes at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival are awarded, with seven prizes presented from programs representing over 80 countries.
