Patti McTeague has been promoted from vp to svp, kids communications, Disney-ABC Television Group, overseeing strategic planning and implementation of communications and publicity initiatives for all of the Kids Communications areas for the Group, including the wholly owned basic cable kids platforms and programming blocks Disney Channel worldwide, Playhouse Disney, Toon Disney and Jetix as well as ABC Kids, Walt Disney Television Animation and Radio Disney.

Walt Doublestein New Channel M VP Videogame Integration

Walt Doublestein has joined New York City- and Los Angeles-based Channel M as vp videogame integration.

For the past nine years, Doublestein worked at BBDO Detroit, where he was most recently director video gaming & non-traditional marketing. One of the pioneers in videogame integration, he oversaw projects, such as NASCAR 06 TOTAL TEAM CONTROL, TONY HAWKS UNDERGROUND 2, TONY HAWKS AMERICAN WASTELAND, THE MOVIES and TOMB RAIDER: LEGEND.

Dominic Gardiner Coming to Jetix UK as Director Of Programming

Dominic Gardiner will join Jetix UK as director of programming in September, with responsibility for overall channel content programming, acquisitions, scheduling and on air promotions with a strong focus on improving channel ratings and share performance.

He will report to Boel Ferguson, Jetix UKs recently appointed md. Gardiner will work closely with both Jetix UKs marketing director Allan Stenhouse and Jetix Europes svp of programming Michael Lekes, to deliver an overall programming strategy and fine tune the channel editorial line.

Six New & Eight Incumbents Governors Elected to AMPAS Board

Six new governors have been elected to represent their branches on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Eight incumbent governors were reelected.

Newcomers to the board are Rob Epstein, documentary branch; Mark Goldblatt, film editors; and James L. Brooks, writers. Returning to the board after a hiatus are Paul Mazursky, directors; Mark Johnson, producers; and Bill Taylor, visual effects.

Alexander Coridass Renewed to Head ZDF Enterprises

Alexander Coridass, president/ceo of ZDF Enterprises, will remain in charge of the ZDF licensing subsidiary for another five years, according to Markus Schächter, gm of the German pubcaster ZDF, who said Coridass' contract has been renewed. The 51-year-old media manager has been in charge of the ZDF subsidiary since 1998.
