YTV BBQs in July

Animated stars resident filmmaker Ian Kelly (BEING IAN), and the funny Frenchman in underpants, Yvon Ducharme (YVON OF THE YUKON) will be hosting two hours of their favorite episodes on Canada Day, Friday, July 1, 2005. With original animation created by Studio B Prods. in collaboration with YTVs On-Air Promotions department, these two characters host the BBQ blowout from Ian Kellys backyard Canada Day party, with all the barbecue fixings and even some fireworks. Viewers can join the holiday festivities starting at 6:00 pm with BEING IAN, rotating with YVON OF THE YUKON episodes every half-hour until 8:00 pm.

Starting Friday, July 8, YTVs Fridays and Saturdays will get infused with new series.

TRANSFORMERS CYBERTRON will premiere July 8 at 7:30 pm. In order to save Cybertron from complete obliteration, Optimus Prime must lead the Autobots to lost planets and find the four ancient Cyber planet keys which unlock Cybertron, shutting down the black hole endangering the universe. When matters couldnt get worse, Megatron discovers that the wicked Decepticons are on the same operation, but they want the keys for evil.

ONE PIECE premieres July 8 at 8:00 pm. After gaining supernatural stretching powers from eating the cursed gum-gum fruit, Monkey D. Luffy is on a mission to become the greatest pirate ever. Along with his extraordinary crew: Roronoa the swordsman; Usopp the swindler; Nami the navigator; Sanji the cook; and Chopper the doctor, Monkey is in hot pursuit of the legendary treasure the One Piece.

SHAMAN KING premieres in Vortex on Saturday, July 9 at 11:30 am. Yoh Asakura is not like any other 13-year-old boy. Yoh is a shaman, and has the unique ability to communicate with ghosts and spirits. It is only when he teams up with Amidamaru, the ghost of a samurai warrior, that Yoh begins his challenging adventure to become the Shaman King in the Grand Tournament, held once every 500 years. To get there, they must battle the evil spirits and prevent them from winning the sacred tournament.

SONIC X premieres Saturday, July 9 at 12:30 pm. Based on the popular videogame series, SONIC X brings Sonic the Hedgehogs duel with the evil Dr. Eggman to life. Collecting the chaos emeralds before the wicked doctor does, Sonic and his friends are accidentally transported from their world to the real world, scattering the emeralds in random places all over the planet. In order to save the universe from complete chaos, Sonic teams up with 12-year-old Chris to take on Dr. Eggman and stop the water creature Chaos.

Celebrating the dog days of summer, YTV will air several BALTO films as well as ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN throughout the month of July. Below is a list of times and films.
