The baseball-centric app featuring NY Yankees and Brooklyn Nets telecasts, content, live stats, play-along games, and watch-party functions launches kids’ animated series that aims to instill a love of baseball and promote team spirit and values; first episode kicks off August 17.
YES Network’s award-winning app, which offers regional coverage of NY Yankees and Brooklyn Nets telecasts, content, live stats, play-along games, and watch-party functions, announced its entrance to the world of animation with an all-new baseball-themed animated children’s series HexClad Presents Bronx Buds, developed in partnership with Tzero Studios.
The first seven-minute episode kicks off the morning of August 17 followed by additional episodes August 31, September 21, September 28, and October 5.
The series follows the adventures of The Pinstripes, a fictitious Bronx-based youth baseball team, and its members and promises “laughter, life lessons, unexpected curveballs, and unbreakable friendships.” It aims to instill a love of baseball and promote team spirit and values. The show’s characters, including primary characters Riv, Bash, and Oscar, have distinct personalities with unique backstories and each with a critical role on the team.
HexClad Presents Bronx Buds will be available to registered YES App users in YES’ regional coverage territory, which includes New York State, Connecticut, north and central New Jersey, and northeastern Pennsylvania, as well as to subscribers of the YES National feed throughout the country who have the YES App.
Tzero Studios co-founders Justin Shenkarow and Tom Borowski voice the characters. The studio team boasts work experience on a swath of iconic animated shows such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Hey Arnold! (Shenkarow voiced the character Harold Berman), Beavis and Butthead and Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas.
