Wonder Pets Creator Has Time Out with Live-Action Short

Little Airplane Productions Founder and President Josh Selig will have his short, live-action film “The Time-Out Chair” featured in The Museum of Modern Art’s Family Films series.

NEW YORK, January 6, 2011 – Little Airplane Productions Founder and President Josh Selig will have his short, live-action film “The Time-Out Chair” featured in The Museum of Modern Art’s Family Films series. The screening is set for Saturday, January 15 at noon. It will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker.

Selig, the creator of the hit Nickelodeon animated series “The Wonder Pets!” and Cbeebies' "3rd & Bird!", wrote and directed “The Time-Out Chair.”  The six-minute film is the story of a young girl who leaves her preschool classroom dragging her time-out chair behind her. The story chronicles her afternoon in New York’s East Village. Music for the film was composed by Mark Suozzo, whose credits include the music for features including “The Nanny Diaries,” “American Splendor,” “The Notorious Bettie Page” and “The Last Days of Disco.”

Family Programs at MoMA introduce kids and adults to the richly varied world of modern and contemporary art through gallery conversations, art workshops, artist talks, film screenings, activity guides and Web sites. Museum and program admission are free on a first-come, first-served basis.
