Professional organization Women in Animation presents the first event in its new Professional Development Workshop series, “Contracts, Copyrights, and Trademarks,” on May 6, 2014.

On May 6th at 7:00 p.m., Women in Animation -- the professional non-profit organization focused on bringing together a global community of animation professionals -- will present the first event in its new Professional Development Workshop series: Contracts, Copyrights, and Trademarks.

Are you a creator? An artist? A writer? A producer?  These legal issues may sound like "the boring stuff," but if you want to succeed in this business, you should have a basic understanding of what they're all about.

Lawyers, agents, and producers answer your questions and help you avoid getting ripped off. Panelists include family entertainment agent Annette Van Duren; Adam Sullivan, Head of Legal for Square Enix America; publicity and licensing executive Craig Miller; entertainment lawyer Frank M. Lunn; entertainment and IP lawer Louise Nemschoff; and IP development exec Kaaren Brown.

May 6, 2014 at 7:00 pm
The Animation Guild
1105 N. Hollywood Way, Burbank CA

Light refreshments will be served.

This event is FREE for WIA members.
Non-Member price is $25.
