Wolfman Gets Bumped to 2010

THE WOLFMAN is getting its fourth release date from Universal, this time to February 12 of 2010, reports VARIETY.

The horror film starring Benicio Del Toro has already moved from Feb. 13 to April 3 and Nov. 6 of this year. It will now serve as counterprogramming to New Line's romantic comedy VALENTINE'S DAY, Summit's drama REMEMBER ME (with Robert Pattinson) and Disney's 3-D re-release of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

Universal still plans to hype the film at its annual Halloween Horror Nights event. Adam Fogelson, president of marketing and distribution for Universal, said the studio generated $215 million during that same February weekend this year, versus the $136 million they earned in November of last year. "We have seen just how enormous first quarter movies can be," he said.

Universal is placing alien-abduction drama THE FOURTH KIND with Milla Jovovich into the November slot.
