Willy Fog Continues Around-The-World Adventure To Prepare For 25th Anniversary

As Spain's BRB International prepares to pull out all the stops for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of AROUND THE WORLD WITH WILLY FOG, a new TV channel has joined the long list of international broadcasters who still believe in this famous Spanish series. De Agostini, the recently licensed children's channel that will begin broadcasting this fall in Italy, has just acquired the two seasons of this cartoon classic based on three renowned novels by Jules Verne.

From Spain to Southeast Asia, by way of France, Germany, United Kingdom, Holland, Austria, Canada and South Africa, many countries around the world have enjoyed -- and continue to enjoy -- the exciting adventures of the English lion WILLY FOG, the beautiful Hindu panther, Princess Romy, the loyal lynx from France, Rigodon, and the lovable Spanish hamster, Tico.

Are 80 days long enough to travel round the world? Is there any truth in the chronicles of an Icelandic explorer who claimed to have travelled to the center of the earth? What are the intentions of the mysterious CAPTAIN NEMO?

WILLY FOG continues enjoying great success today as he travels around the world, experiencing exhilarating adventures and confronting all kinds of obstacles -- sinister caves, savage dinosaurs, giant octopuses -- in all the series' 52 episodes that feature the action-packed pacing and suspense inspired by three of the most prestigious works in the history of universal literature: AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS -- which sets the stage for the first 26 episodes -- and JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH and 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA -- which inspire the 26 episodes of the second season.
