Studios will co-produce 26 new episodes for popular CG-animated comedy series’ third season; agreement grants exclusive global AVOD rights to new season.
Kids and family AVOD network and studio, WildBrain Spark is teaming up with Copenhagen Bombay to co-produce and distribute the third season of the non-dialogue 3D animated comedy series, Kiwi & Strit. The agreement provides the studio with exclusive distribution rights to Season 3 on YouTube, YouTube Kids, and additional AVOD platforms worldwide (excluding China). The company will also have select distribution rights for Seasons 1 and 2 on the aforementioned platforms. All other rights across the three seasons are handled by Copenhagen Bombay’s in-house sales department.
Season 3 production will begin later this year. The series will follow the same 26 x 5-minute format as the previous two seasons. The partnership builds upon WildBrain Spark’s launch of the official Kiwi & Strit YouTube channel in September 2020. Targeting children aged 2-6 years, the channel features three-minute clip compilations from the series; it has generated over 600,000 views and a watch time of 1.4 million minutes from September to December 2020. Copenhagen Bombay has recently completed production on Season 2 of Kiwi & Strit, which is set to premiere this year.

Kiwi & Strit is created and produced by Copenhagen Bombay, in co-production with NDR and Studio Hamburg Enterprises GMBH. The series is co-created by Jannik Tai Mosholt and Esben Toft Jacobsen. The first season was co-written by Mosholt and Jacobsen, and Seasons 2 and 3 will be written and directed by Jacobsen.
The series follows a pair of funny and furry little creatures, Kiwi and Strit, who live in a clearing in the forest. The two are quite different – Kiwi is considerate, careful, and yellow, while Strit is wild and purple. Their approach to almost everything is different, but they learn how to work together to solve each other’s and their forest friends’ problems.
