Wild Brain Inc. Promotes Petroff To Head Of Production

San Franciscos Wild Brain, Inc. has promoted BZ Petroff to head of production. In her new position, Petroff will be responsible for developing strategies to strengthen all aspects of the studios various production-related departments. As Wild Brain continues to add to its CG and other technology-based capabilities, BZ will look for ways to incorporate these tools into the studios work in TV, film and interactive production. In addition to her new role as head of production, Petroff is also a dedicated producer. She recently completed work on the new Warner Bros. summer film release CATS AND DOGS, which includes a 45-second interstitial of Egyptian-style animation. Petroff has produced animated commercials for such clients as Mattel (for classics like Barbie and Hotwheels), Film Arts Foundation and the Womens United Soccer Association. With over 15 years of production management experience, Petroff joined Wild Brain, Inc. in 1999 from Pixar Animation Studios, where she managed the animation, layout and story departments on the Academy Award winning TOY STORY and also served as Pixars production supervisor on A BUGS LIFE. Most recently, Petroff produced special effects for Paul Verhoevens HOLLOW MAN. She has also worked at Colossal Pictures, Tippet Studios and Telling Pictures. She has handled commercial production for such clients as General Mills, Charmin, McDonalds, Honda and The Disney Channel. She also served as associate producer on the HBO documentaries DEAR AMERICA: LETTER HOME FROM VIETNAM and COMMON THREADS: STORIES FROM THE QUILT.
