HOLLOW MAN holds on as WHAT LIES BENEATH makes top notched debuts in France and Brazil. The Harrison Ford starrer scared up US$3.26 million in its French premiere. SPACE COWBOYS fell to second with a gross of $1.51 million, escalating its French cume to $3.56 million. Falling from second to finish in fourth, GONE IN 60 SECONDS raced in with $1.28 million, advancing its French cume to $13.31 million. Slipping one to sixth, U-571 surfaced another $706,419, lifting its French cume to $1.83 million. X-MEN also fell one slot to land in seventh, grossing $556,002 and raising its French cume to $11.66 million. Both down a spot to finish eighth and ninth respectively was NUTTY PROFESSOR II: THE KLUMPS with a gross of $555,021 and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2 with a gross of $394,835. So far in France, KLUMPS has piled up $3.38 million and M:I 2 $26.58 million. Over in Brazil, WHAT LIES landed $1.77 million in its first place debut. NUTTY II fell to second with a gross of $682,036, bringing its Brazilian cume to $1.91 million. Down to third, PERFECT STORM swamped another $570,121, elevating its Brazilian cume to $3.15 million. X-MEN placed fourth in Brazil, with a gross of $289,967, climbing its cume to $5.77 million. 60 SECONDS settled in seventh place, with a gross of $60,111, raising its Brazilian cume to $4.67 million. In eighth, SOUTH PARK: BIGGER, LONGER & UNCUT grossed $46,605, bringing its Brazilian cume to $257,753. Down one to ninth, DINOSAUR danced home with an additional $39,685, advancing its Brazilian cume to $8.01 million. Finishing off the top ten in Brazil, THE PATRIOT piled up $25,172, elevating its cume to $4.58 million. Holding on to its top place finish, HOLLOW MAN grossed another $2.17 million in Spain, lifting its cume to $5.67 million. Warner Bros. ROMEO MUST DIE premiered in third, with a gross of $566,118. PERFECT STORM fell to fourth, with a gross of $496,262, bringing its Spanish cume to $5.96 million. Holding on to fifth, CHICKEN RUN raced in with an additional $441,149, raising its Spanish cume to $3.5 million. Falling from third to finish sixth, TITAN A.E. tallied $404,535, advancing its Spanish cume to $1.2 million. In eighth, 60 SECONDS scored another $183,401, elevating its Spanish cume to $6.35 million. Staying steady in ninth, the SOUTH PARK feature grabbed $158,735, lifting its cume to $2.38 million. In its Hong Kong premiere, HOLLOW MAN made $620,760 to finish first. After two weeks in Hong Kong, WHAT LIES placed #4, with a gross of $120,368, climbing its cume to $1.25 million. THE KLUMPS made a lackluster debut in fifth, grossing only $115,151. Falling four slots, PATRIOT rounded out the top ten with a gross of $8,849, jumping its Hong Kong cume to $282,696. In Sweden, HOLLOW held on to second with a ticket take of $229,557, lifting its cume to $725,166. Holding on to third, THE TIGGER MOVIE added $229,557 to its $757,231 Swedish cume. Staying steady in fifth, CHICKEN RUN flew home another $108,259, raising its Swedish cume to $830,310. THE CELL made a top notch premiere in Italy, grossing $821,260. 60 SECONDS fell to second, grossing $490,644, lifting its Italian cume to $1.79 million. Plummeting from third to land in seventh, FANTASIA/2000 brought in an additional $133,695, advancing its Italian cume to $1.1 million. In eighth, PATRIOT rifled home $109,760, bringing its Italian cume to $4.02 million. Down from fourth, FINAL DESTINATION collected $106,153 in ninth, escalating its Italian cume to $2.82 million.
