‘Welcome to Bric-a-Broc’ Launches In France

Award-winning preschool series co-produced by Vivement Lundi! and Gaumont Animation begins broadcasting on Canal+ Family.

Every morning, Canal+ Family airs episodes of Welcome to Bric-a-Broc a new pre-school animated series by French studio Vivement Lundi!.  Created and directed by Amandine Gallerand and Matthieu Chevallier, this 39 x 7' series is coproduced by Vivement Lundi !, Gaumont Animation and Canal+.

Welcome to Bric-a-Broc is an original 2D animated series developed in 2011 by Vivement Lundi! with support from Région Bretagne and Région Pays de la Loire. The pilot had a beautiful career at festivals and won several awards in Expotoon Buenos Aires, Chicago International Children’s Film Festival or WFAF Varna.

In 2014, Vivement Lundi! teamed with Gaumont Animation and inked the production of the series with Canal+ and Piwi+ as first French broadcasters. The series entered production in may and made up work up to 50 people in Rennes, where is based Vivement Lundi!.

The 2,1 M€ budget was financed by both producers, Canal+, CNC, Région Bretagne, soficas COFINOVA 10 and COFINOVA 11 and Flemish channel VRT Ketnet.

Gaumont Animation is in charge of international sales.

After the series Pok and Mok (actually available on Netflix and soon on France 4) and Small gamers in 2012, Dimitri in 2014, Welcome to Bric-a-Broc is the fourth animated series produced by Vivement Lundi! for the international market. The company develops two new projects: the hybrid series The Science of botheration (39 x 5') for France 4 and the special TV The Horn Quartet for France 3 Bretagne.
