The Weinstein Company has pushed the release date to the lightning fast production APOLLO 18, reports Shock Till You Drop.

The Weinstein Company has pushed the release date to the lightning fast production APOLLO 18, reports Shock Till You Drop. The found footage sci-fi flick will arrive in theaters on April 22 instead of March.

Producer Timur Bekmambetov found the script from Brian Miller via his inaugural Astana International Action Film Festival screenplay competition. The story follows the covert Apollo 18 mission to the moon, which uncovers alien lifeforms. Bekmambetov brought the project to the Weinsteins in November and the film started shooting in December. Trevor Cawood was originally attached to direct, but dropped out over the insane schedule and was replaced by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego.
