WEBTOON’s ‘Bloodhounds’ Coming to Netflix

Jeong Chan’s original 10-episode webcomic is available now on the digital platform; the live-action series hits the streamer June 9.

The new Netflix live-action series Bloodhounds, based on the popular webcomic created by Jeong Chan, hits the streamer June 9. The series follows two young boxers who team up with a benevolent moneylender to take down a ruthless loan shark who preys on the financially desperate.

Fans can access all 10 episodes of the original webcomic on the digital comics platform WEBTOON before the Netflix live-action series debut.

Directed by Jason Kim, Bloodhounds is co-produced by Studio N alongside Seed Film and Seven Osix. WEBTOON Entertainment’s Studio N produces stories from the WEBTOON library for TV and film, such as the recent Netflix series Sweet Home.

The original “Bloodhounds” webcomic became available to WEBTOON readers in the U.S. in 2022 after debuting on the Naver WEBTOON platform in Korea in 2019. The official webcomic series description is as follows:

Bark, bark! Yes, I aim to please and do your bidding. And I’ll certainly never bare my teeth – that is, as long as you don’t show your back. Because it’s a dog-eat-dog world out there. Whether you’re a judge, CEO, boss of the criminal underworld, or a nobody, it doesn’t matter. In the face of money, all are equal.
