Veteran animator and director Rudy Larriva passed away on Feb. 19th in Irvine, CA, reports VARIETY.

Veteran animator and director Rudy Larriva passed away on Feb. 19th in Irvine, CA, reports VARIETY. He was 94 years old.

Larriva's animation credits include LOONEY TOONS, SONG OF THE SOUTH, POPEYE THE SAILOR, GERALD MCBOING BOING and MR. MAGOO.

Throughout his long career, he worked for Warner Bros., UPA, Format Films, Filmation and Disney.

He directed on shows such as THE BUGS BUNNY/ROAD RUNNER SHOW, RUN RUN SWEET ROADRUNNER, THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN, ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS and MISTER T. He also directed the opening titles on TWILIGHT ZONE.

He was born in El Paso, Texas. He was survived by a son, three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
