WATCH: MARZ’s ‘WandaVision’ VFX Breakdown Reel and Images

VFX studio takes on Vision, both in color and black and white, flying high above a CG Westview, and cutting a rug with Wanda.

Tech and TV VFX studio Monsters Aliens Robots Zombies (MARZ) has just shared with AWN a VFX breakdown reel and images showcasing their work on Marvel Studios and Disney+’s hit series, WandaVision.

Led by VFX supervisor Ryan Freer and CG supervisor Anthony De Chellis, the MARZ team worked on numerous sequences across multiple episodes of the show:  

  • Black and white Vision (Episodes #101 and #102)
  • Floating items and other visual effects (Episode #101)
  • Full color Vision and metamorphosis from human to android when Wanda’s illusion starts to dissipate (Episodes #103-104, #106, #109)
  • Vision floating up into the sky, CG Westview, flying down to speak to Agnes (Episode #106)

And, there’s lots of dancing! Vision style! Take a look!

MARZ focuses exclusively on premium TV. Past projects also include Watchmen, The Umbrella Academy, Siren, What We Do in the Shadows and The Expanse. MARZ was recognized at the 2020 Visual Effects Society (VES) awards with nominations for work on Netflix’s Living With Yourself and HBO’s Watchmen.
