WATCH: Lionsgate Unveils New Clips from Aardman’s ‘Early Man’

First solo feature from four-time Oscar-winning director Nick Park pits caveman against caveman in stone-age football comedy adventure arriving in U.S. theatres on February 16th.

Here’s a treat for Aardman fans who have been eagerly anticipating Oscar-winning director Nick Park’s first solo feature, Early Man. U.S. distributor Lionsgate has released a slew of new clips and featurettes from the film, giving us an extended peek at the latest project to emerge from the celebrated Bristol-based stop-motion animation studio.

Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures roamed the earth, Early Man tells the story of courageous caveman hero Dug (Eddie Redmayne) and his best friend Hognob as they unite his tribe against a mighty enemy Lord Nooth (Tom Hiddleston) and his Bronze Age City to save their home. Shot in Aardman’s own distinctive style, Early Man promises to take audiences on an extraordinary journey into an exciting new world unleashing an unforgettable tribe of unique and funny new characters. The all-star British voice cast is rounded out by Maisie Williams as Goona alongside Timothy Spall as chief Bobnar, Johnny Vegas as energetic Asbo, Richard Ayoade as gentle giant Treebor, Simon Greenall as northern tongued Eemak, Selina Griffiths as matronly Magma, Gina Yashere as injury prone Gravelle, and Mark Williams as dim-witted Barry.
