AWN readers get to watch ‘A Tisket, a Tasket’ ahead of its August 13 premiere, the latest addition to the growing short collection aimed at the network's youngest fans.
In an AWN exclusive, readers can check out Disney Junior’s latest animated nursery rhyme, A Tisket, a Tasket, starring Fancy Nancy, one of 26 shorts that have garnered more than 188 million views since the series launched on YouTube last September. In this new short, after packing her basket full of tea party items, Fancy Nancy accidentally leaves a trail behind on her way to meet Bree.
The Disney Junior Nursery Rhymes series is in its second season, with 23 new animated shorts set to roll-out into the new year. Each short combines a classic song with a favorite Disney Junior character -- Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck are joined by characters from shows like Puppy Dog Pals, Muppet Babies, Vampirina, Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, Goldie and Bear and The Lion Guard.
Based on the New York Times bestselling book series by Jane O'Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser, the Fancy Nancy centers around six-year-old Nancy, a high-spirited young girl whose zest and enthusiasm for all that is exquisite – including language, nature, art and color – transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary. Fancy Nancy premiered last month and opened as Disney Junior’s #1 debut in two years among Girls 2-5. Disney Junior has already ordered a second season of the show, which airs each Friday at 11:00 a.m. EDT/PDT on Disney Junior, DisneyNOW and Disney Junior VOD.
