WATCH: ACM SIGGRAPH Unveils 2016 Festival Animation Trailer

Selections for the Oscar-qualifying festival include outstanding achievements in animated feature and short films, scientific visualization, visual effects, real-time graphics, game excerpts, and many others.

This year's SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival brings together some of the world's most innovative, accomplished, and amazing digital film and video creators and showcases their exceptional work.

A new trailer with highlights from the 2016 SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival, taking place this year in Anaheim, CA July24-28, is now online.

An internationally recognized jury receives hundreds of submissions and presents the best work of the year in the two programs of the Computer Animation Festival: the Electronic Theater and Daytime Selects. Selections that will be shown this year include outstanding achievements in animated feature and short films, scientific visualization, visual effects, real-time graphics, game excerpts, and many others.

The Computer Animation Festival is recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as a qualifying festival. Since 1999, several works originally presented in the Computer Animation Festival have been nominated for or have received a Best Animated Short Academy Award.
