Again tapping into the well of DC Comics, Warner Bros. Pictures is putting into development a feature version of METAL MEN, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Donners' Co.'s Lauren Shuler Donner and Jack Leslie will produce while Eric Champnella (MR. 3000) will pen the script.
Created by Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru in 1962, the comic followed brilliant scientist, William Magnus, and his six robots that represented the metals -- gold, iron, lead, tin, mercury and platinum.
Comicbook writer Geoff Johns (who was once an assistant to Richard Donner) helped develop the idea and subsequently will exec produce. Dan Lin and Elishia Holmes are overseeing for the studio while Gregory Noveck will do the same for DC Comics.
