Warner Bros. Consumer Products Promotes Shari Black

Shari Black has been promoted to SVP, Retail Business Development for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, it was announced today by Karen McTier, Executive VP of Domestic Licensing and Worldwide Marketing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

In her new position, Black will hold responsibility for Warner Bros. Consumer Products' retail sales, marketing, promotions, and merchandising strategies. She will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities for all key product categories and retailers in order to sustain current business initiatives as well as securing incremental revenue and marketing exposure for Warner Bros. Ent. brands.

Since joining the company in 2003 as VP, Retail Business Development, Black has excelled at managing all retail channels of business, reorganized the department structure to support future growth strategies, and built a strong retail team.

"During her time with the company, Shari has proven to be an integral leader in the area of retail development, as well as an innovator of creative business programs involving non-traditional retail channels providing significant new streams of revenue," said McTier. "Under Shari's enterprising and enthusiastic leadership, her team has produced fantastic results, and we are pleased to see her continue to grow and thrive within WBCP.

Prior to joining WBCP in 2003, Black held several positions in both the retail and advertising industry, including the role of Apparel Marketing and Merchandising Manager for Wal-Mart and Director of Retail Business Development for Disney Consumer Products.
