Wallace & Gromit Celebrate 30th Anniversary with Re-Release of ‘The Complete Collection’

Coming October 21 on DVD and Blu-ray, the short film collection allows fans to relive the timeless and quintessentially British humor of Wallace and his four-legged companion.

BBC Studios has announced that it will be re-releasing the Wallace & Gromit: The Complete Collection DVD and Blu-Ray to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. It will feature all new sleeve artwork. The collection includes all four of the original short films, A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave and Cracking Contraptions.

Fans were first introduced to Wallace & Gromit in 1989’s A Grand Day Out which follows the adventures of the eccentric cheese-loving inventor, Wallace, and his loyal companion Gromit, a silent and unusually smart dog. The series was created by Nick Park and Bob Baker of Aardman Animations, who later went on to create other productions based on the popular pair, including The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and A Matter of Loaf and Death.

Park commented, “Wallace & Gromit have become an icon of British culture and it’s fantastic to be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the nation’s favorite cheese-loving duo with a re-release of the original series.”

The DVD and Blu-Ray will be available online and in-store from October 21, 2019.
