VOTD Launches Video of the Day Competition

Recognizing the talents of the best short film and video makers of the world, VOTD seeks short films that are punchy, innovative, and encourage thought.

VOTD (pronounced “Voted”) is a brand-new platform from design collective Neverbland dedicated to recognizing the talents of the best short film and video makers of the world.

Filmmakers are invited to share their best work with any type of moving image -- everything goes, except for adult content and, for some reason, screaming goats.

VOTD HQ seeks videos that are punchy, innovative, and encourage thought. However it’s not up to them! All videos are submitted to an influential Judging panel and directly to the VOTD community. Each video is then judged on the following four criteria: Idea, Content, Creativity, and Execution.

Breeze through the lineup and vote!

Check out the submission process, pop something fizzy, and start high-fiving your industry! Once a video has been in the judging process for seven days its final scores will be collated and pitted against the videos from 30 days previous. The video with the highest score is awarded Video of the Day.

VOTD is building an online community to keep up with the rapid pace, and to reflect the current place of the industry. It’s incredible to see creatives celebrate their peers’ success stories with videos such as Ryan Staake’s “Diplo Set It Off feat. Lazerdisk Party Sex,” Martin Stirling’s “LEGO: Everything is Not Awesome” video for Greenpeace, and Tim Main’s “Won’t Look Back” music video for Duke Dumont.
