Vortexx on The CW Launches New Series

Vortexx on the CW announces their new 5-hour programming block beginning July 13.

Los Angeles, CA -- Vortexx on The CW announced new series additions slated for the programming block this year. The new programs making their way onto the 5-hour kids television block will include Digimon Fusion, Spectacular Spider-Man, Sendokai Champions and Bolts & Blip. The new programming begins on July 13 with Bolts & Blip coming to the slate at 8:30 a.m.

“Introducing new programming onto the block will provide a breath of fresh entertainment for fans across all Vortexx platforms from television and online to gaming on MyVortexx.com,” said Joel Andryc, President of Vortexx. “We’re excited about the new series additions and are confident that these programs will strongly appeal to our current Vortexx fans providing entertainment 24/7/365.”

Vortexx on The CW’s new programs in 2013 will include:

  • Digimon Fusion: The iconic anime franchise is back and better than ever! The all new Digimon Fusion series features Mikey, a human boy, who is transported into the digital world and must team up with his new “Digimon” or “Digital Monster” friends to battle the evil Bagra army before their realm is deleted once and for all. Luckily, Mikey is given the amazing ability to fuse two or more Digimon together to form new, more powerful Digimon hybrids, which creates endless battle possibilities.  It’s a new Digimon series for the Digital Age!
  • Spectacular Spider-Man: After a spider bite transforms him into Spectacular Spider-Man, 16-year-old Peter Parker works through his grief over the death of his beloved Uncle Ben by spending his summer vacation fighting crime. Muggers and thieves aren’t much of a challenge, but everything that he thought to be true is suddenly challenged as Peter comes face-to-face with a rogues’ gallery of villains, including the Vulture, Lizard, Green Goblin, Kingpin and Venom. As he tries to balance the pressures of teenage life with those of fighting crime, Peter learns about love, life, family, friendship – and what it takes to translate great power to great responsibility – as he encounters the vilest villains, falls for the most heartfelt loves, and faces his most dire crises as he battles the forces of evil.
  • Sendokai Champions:  Four unsuspecting kids are transported to a parallel universe where they must train in the mystical martial art of Sendokai. Together, they must work as a team and use their new Sendokai skills to compete in a fantastical, sci-fi version of soccer. But this isn’t just any sport…it’s an intergalactic tournament where the stakes couldn’t be higher since the fate of our world lies in the hands (and feet) of these 4 unlikely heroes!
  • Bolts & Blip: It’s 2080 and the earth is at peace thanks to the C.R.A.T.E.R Project, an intergalactic sports circuit located on the moon where Robotic teams battle to settle Earth’s disputes. When two robot misfits, Bolts & Blip, accidently become members of the League’s last placed team, they are determined to prove themselves and help their new ragtag friends climb the ranks. But the stakes get even bigger when they discover that both the moon and Earth are threatened by the evil Dr. Blood! Will these little robots become big heroes?
