The VFX supervisor shares the digital magic that helped bring together two of the world’s most popular superheroes at Italy’s premier animation and visual effects event that runs October 14-19 in the beautiful baroque city of Turin.
VIEW Conference 2024, Italy’s premier animation and visual effects event, has announced that Oscar-nominated Swen Gillberg, VFX supervisor on Deadpool & Wolverine will present “The VFX of Deadpool & Wolverine” live at the event’s 25th edition, running in person October 14 - 19 in Turin, Italy.
Gillberg, a 20+ year industry veteran, boasts credits on films including Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, The Day After Tomorrow, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. At his presentation he will share the VFX magic that helped bring together two of the world’s most popular superheroes in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Amanda Strong: The stop-motion filmmaker shares her experience of directing a TV series, independent animation, and building a stop-motion studio centered on collective Indigenous storytelling.
Rochele Gloor: Innovation Technologies, MFA Computer Arts, School of Visual Arts assistant director will share insights from her experience as a designer, and emergent technologies artist. She will also discuss her research centered on sound design for wellness, experiments with artificial embodiment, avatars in real-time motion capture, and AI.
