VIEW 2024 Shares Latest Program Updates

Confirmed in-person speakers include Emmy Award-winning director Shannon Tindle with ‘Ultraman: Rising,’ Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Paul Lambert, and ILM Senior VP and CCO Rob Bredow; Italy’s premier animation and VFX event runs October 14-19 in the beautiful baroque city of Turin.

VIEW Conference, Italy’s premier animation and visual effects event, announced some stellar additions to its 2024 program. The conference takes place October 14-19 in the beautiful baroque city of Turin, Italy, bringing together industry professionals, students, and enthusiasts in a celebration of the latest achievements in animation, VFX, and games.

Here are some highlights – confirmed in-person presentations:

  • Ultraman: Rising: Emmy Award-winning director and co-writer Shannon Tindle of Netflix’s highly anticipated animated feature will appear in person alongside the film’s overall VFX supervisor, Hayden Jones (ILM). The movie debuts on Netflix worldwide June 14, 2024.
  • Dune: Part Two: Exploring the VFX of Denis Villeneuve’s acclaimed sci-fi epic sequel – speakers include:
    • Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Paul Lambert (Blade Runner 2049, First Man, and Dune: Part One)
    • Second unit VFX supervisor Patrick Heinen and Wylie Co. VFX founder and CEO Jake Maymudes
  • Fallout and 3 Body Problem VFX presentations provide international audiences with unique insight into the techniques used to build compelling visions of extraordinary worlds.
  • Tales from the Woods: Interdimentional VFX, CEO Setareh Samandari Zargarpour and Oscar-nominated VFX supervisor Habib Zargarpour discuss their work on the new anthology series of short films from Warner Bros., which presents a dark twist on traditional fairy tales, including “The Little Mermaid” and “Cinderella.”
  • Rob Bredow Industrial Light & Magic senior vice president and chief creative officer Rob Bredow returns to VIEW with an incisive and illuminating presentation on cutting-edge VFX.

Other confirmed in-person speakers/presenters joining the VIEW 2024 lineup:

Pascal Campion: The artist, storyteller, and production designer whose iconic pieces include some memorable New Yorker magazine covers will be teaching and speaking in person. Campion's work includes visual development on Moana and Klaus, production design on Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank, Mr Peabody and Sherman, and Penguins of Madagascar.

Jesper Ejsing: The fantasy artist and author will talk about creating believable fantasy art.
