Academy Award-winning Visual Effects Supervisor Mark Lasoff has joined Pacific Title & Art Studio's Visual Effects division, it was announced today by Ladd Lanford, Vice President and General Manager of Pacific Title.
Lasoff, who garnered an Oscar for Achievement in Visual Effects for his work as Digital Domain's Digital Effects Supervisor on TITANIC, will report to Crystal Dowd, Pacific Title's Executive Producer of Visual Effects.
"Mark brings tremendous talent and experience to our team," Dowd said. "His extensive background in 3D visual effects and considerable technical expertise will help make Pacific Title VFX a destination for filmmakers from the earliest stages of production."
In addition to his work with Digital Domain on TITANIC, Lasoff served as the company's Digital Effects Supervisor on APOLLO 13. Previously, he worked as an effects supervisor on the films THE SCORPION KING, HOLLOW MAN, COLOR OF NIGHT and IN THE LINE OF FIRE. His credits as a digital effects artist include MUMMIES 3D: SECRETS OF THE PHARAOHS, INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE and LAST ACTION HERO.
Lasoff began his career in visual effects as a software designer on TOTAL RECALL. Most recently, he supervised the VFX for the forthcoming action thriller HIRED GUN.

In addition to visual effects, Pacific Title & Art Studio offers an array of post production services, including digital intermediate, digital trailer finishing, main title design, scanning & recording and asset management.
