Company to debut new technology, V-Nova PresenZ, with an immersive XR experience and panel at the Venice Film Festival on September 1.
Leading technology company V-Nova, which combines advanced data compression with immersive XR experiences, has announced the launch of V-Nova Studios, a new division to support transformations occurring in entertainment industry technology.
According to V-Nova, the XR gaming market surpassed $7 billion per year in 2023, and continues to accelerate, signaling a growing demand for immersive experiences. The quality of XR headsets continues to improve, bolstering game market growth. Entertainment sectors like cinema, television, and music have “struggled to activate new XR revenue streams due to significant technical barriers, often resulting in underwhelming quality and viewer discomfort.”
V-Nova hopes to overcome these obstacles with its newest XR technology, V-Nova PresenZ. The format leverages traditional CG and special effects pipelines to enable cinematic-grade, motion-sickness-free, 6-Degrees-of-Freedom XR experiences, and is set to debut at the Venice Film Festival on September 1.
The V-Nova Studios business unit is meant to accelerate the company’s vision while furthering its three main objectives, as stated:
- Developing a New Cinematic Language: Creating an authentic and immersive storytelling narrative with cinematic 6DoF XR, paving the way for a new era of cinema and music, where audiences are fully immersed in the experience.
- Showcasing Innovative Original Content: Releasing original productions that showcase the transformative capabilities of the PresenZ format, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in immersive media and evolving the art of storytelling.
- Enabling the Transformation of 6DoF Production: Supporting both major studios and independent creators in adopting and optimizing the use of the PresenZ format, offering them the tools and expertise to create visually stunning and deeply engaging 6DoF XR content.
As part of its official launch, V-Nova Studios will present two immersive content productions during the Venice Film Festival, following a panel discussion on the future of immersive cinema and music.
The panel, entitled “Immersive Futures in Cinema, Video, and Music,” moderated by Good Girls Planet founder and CEO Valentina Martelli, takes place during the festival on September 1, 1:00-2:00 PM local time.
Location: Hotel Excelsior, Regione Veneto - Lungomare Guglielmo Marconi, 41, 30126 Lido VE, Venice

The company’s content creation uses Lenovo and NVIDIA technology, rendered on dedicated Lenovo workstation and server technology, and runs exclusively on NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs.
