Unity Launches Subscription-Based Line at Unite Europe 2016

Cross-platform development tools for creating 2D, 3D, VR and AR games and experiences now available via three new subscription-based packages.

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS -- Unity Technologies, a global development platform for creating 2D, 3D, VR and AR games and experiences, announced a move to offer developers more power, choice, and value with the launch of three new subscription-based products. All three Unity products will include all platforms, iOS and Android add-ons have been integrated. 

The new products will be available for purchase in June 2016. Existing Unity customers will receive personalized transition offers mid-June.

  • Unity Personal- Includes all platforms - free to anyone with funding or revenues of less than $100,000 USD per year. Full featured and free. Democratization of development at its best. Includes Unity Ads to enable success through a revenue stream plus base-level analytics features to understand and react to game performance.
  • Unity Plus- Includes all platforms - $35 per month with annual commitment ($100k revenue cap). A new product for developers who want more power to optimize their first try at launching a game but aren't quite at Pro level. Includes specifically designed asset store project packs with the best assets to accelerate game production, game performance reporting to optimize game code before launch, and real-time data feeds from Unity Analytics in addition to other features.
  • Unity Pro- Includes all platforms - $125 per month with annual commitment (no revenue cap).
    The full suite for professional developers, from individuals to small and medium-sized studios. Powerfully efficient, Pro is the version of Unity used by the creators of many of today's most original and popular games.
