TV Academy Announces 71st Primetime Emmy Award Nominations

‘Big Mouth,’ ‘Bob’s Burgers,’ ‘BoJack Horseman,’ ‘Adventure Time’ and ‘The Simpsons’ receive nominations for Outstanding Animated Program.

Netflix series ‘F Is for Family,’ co-created by stand-up comic Bill Burr and Michael Price, received a Primetime Emmy Award Nomination for Outstanding Animated Program for ‘The Stinger’ episode.

LOS ANGELES -- Nominations for the 71th Emmy Awards were announced today by the Television Academy in a ceremony hosted by Television Academy Chairman and CEO Frank Scherma along with celebrity presenters Ken Jeong and D'Arcy Carden.

Game of Thrones this year lead all shows with 32 nominations spanning all categories, followed by The Marvelous Mrs. Masiel (20) and Chernobyl (19). Leading the nominations in totals by platform were HBO with 132 nods, Netflix (117) and NBC (58).

The voice-over category offered a few surprises, with Seth MacFarlane receiving a nomination for his work voicing a host of characters on Family Guy, followed by Alex Borstein (Family Guy), Kevin Michael Richardson (F is for Family), Eric Jacobson (When You Wish Upon A Pickle: A Sesame Street Special) and Hank Azaria (The Simpsons):
