Turkish Animated Series ‘Limon and Oli’ Snags News Media Deals

Based on Salih Memecan’s daily comic strip that has run in Turkish newspapers since 1991, the popular show is now available on Türk Telekom Tivibu and Vodafone TV.

Celebrating 30 entertaining years, the popular 2D animated series Limon and Oli - boasting 4 seasons and 106 episodes - is now available on Türk Telekom Tivibu and Vodafone TV. Created by Salih Memecan, the show is based on the daily comic strip, “Sizinkiler” ("Your kind of family"), which has been published in a Turkish national newspaper since 1991.

According to Mart Entertainment CEO Ayhan Çakar, Limon and Oli is the first Turkish cartoon series to be broadcast on Disney Channel in CEE and MENA and worldwide on Netflix.

Limon and Oli follows the funny adventures of two inseparable friends. Limon is sweet and endearing while Oli runs more on the wild side. Together, they tackle daily obstacles using the power of their imagination. Through the unlikely duo’s friendship, the series imparts important messages about embracing differences and working together.

Millions of children also follow the duo’s adventures on YouTube, social media platforms and in books. As the show enters preparations for Season 5, the producers are seeking partnerships to bring the property to the big screen with Limon ve Oli the movie.
