THE TRIPLETS OF BELLEVILLE took home the top French film award at the Lumiere Awards, France's equivalent to the Golden Globes. The event took place on Feb. 17, 2004. Next up for THE TRIPLETS OF BELLEVILLE is the Oscars where it is nominated for Best Animated Feature, alongside FINDING NEMO and BROTHER BEAR.
In other toon award news, Oscar nominee for Animated Short HARVEY KRUMPET won Best Animated Short Film at the World of Comedy International Film Festival in Toronto. That five-day festival ran from February 11-15, 2004.
