Roster includes reboots of Emmy-nominated preschool series, ‘Jay Jay The Jet Plane,’ and Emmy-winning ‘Tutenstein’ along with original IP ‘Doots,’ ‘Earth to Eden,’ and ‘Rubbernecks.’
Trilogy Animation Group (TAG) has acquired the complete portfolio of PorchLight Entertainment IP, including its Emmy-nominated preschool series, Jay Jay The Jet Plane, and Emmy-winning Tutenstein. The company is rebooting and updating the two shows, while also developing new original series. TAG will introduce the development line-up at MIPJunior and MIPCOM 2022, October 15-20.
“We are very excited about our new line-up of animated children’s series, which includes familiar shows along with original productions that are sure to become new favorites of kids and families around the world,” said Todd Waterman, Vice President of TAG. “We look forward to sharing our latest projects with the international broadcast community this month.”
TAG’s slate of series now in development includes:
The New Adventures of Jay Jay The Jet Plane: A CG animated comedy adventure series for preschoolers features STEM education and social-emotional. The series follows some of the original show’s favorites, including the playful plane Jay Jay and his pals Tracy, Snuffy, and Ricky Rescue. In addition, the series features a new look and introduces more characters and destinations.
Tutenstein: An adventure series for kids ages 8-12 follows a 12-year-old girl with a talking cat who becomes best friends with a 4,000-year-old-mummy boy. The show features adventure, mystery, and magic with a theme of families lost, found, and forever.
Doots: In the comedy series for 6-9-year-olds, 10-year-old Orion’s doodles come to life, taking him to worlds filled with magical creatures and epic quests. As the series unfolds, the Doots and Orion share adventures while learning valuable life lessons.
Earth to Eden: For preschoolers ages 4-6, the series follows 7-year-old Eden Brooks, a special girl who turns every day into an adventure with her “#GirlDad,” family, and friends. It explores themes of family, nature, friendship, and personal pride with the message, “living well is a lifelong adventure, and it’s best to enjoy the ride.”
Rubbernecks – An animated 3D stop-motion series for kids and families, the show is set in the town of Desperation, where residents are a quirky mixed bag that includes a snake, tortoise, roadrunner, and a few lizards. They all prove the hypothesis “that overexposure to intense heat can drive you nutty.” The series features art by Deane Taylor, the award-winning art director from the Oscar-nominated feature Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas.
