Emmy Award-winning animation studio Titmouse (Big Mouth, The Venture Bros.) has teamed up with storytelling brand Cool Cats on The Milk Chug, an animated series featuring the Cool Cat characters Blue Cat, Chugs, and friends. The official trailer drops today, with the full 13-episode season premiering September 26, 2024, on Cool Cats’ YouTube channel.
“Cool Cats stands at the crossroads of entertainment and technology, where traditional storytelling meets a brand powered by new innovation,” said the show’s executive producer Shara Senderoff. “This series demonstrates the opportunities to tell stories in ways that transcend platforms and bridge the best of Hollywood’s talent—in both Titmouse and our incredible cast—bringing fans into a fully immersive universe driven cross-platform capabilities.”
Cool Cats founder and creator Clon added, “Collaborating with Titmouse on the Cool Cats universe is an absolute dream come true.”
The series follows the playful and hilarious adventures of Blue Cat and his friends. The characters have, over the past decade, come to life across a wide array of mediums and content.
Dana Snyder (Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Squidbillies) and Natasha Leggero (Ugly Americans, Another Period) have recently joined the star-studded voice cast, which includes Zeno Robinson (Dragon Ball Super, The Owl House) as Blue Cat, Dan Stevens (Beauty and the Beast, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire) as Ardi, and Maggie Lawson (Psych, Lethal Weapon) as Jo.
Clon, Senderoff, Lawson, and Dylan Flinn are executive producers; Titmouse veteran Parker Simmons directs.
“They say if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life,” said Simmons. “If that's the case, me and the team are going to jail for extreme wage theft, because making these cartoons was an absolute joy!”
The Milk Chug marks a milestone for Cool Cats, establishing its presence as a new type of IP to enter the entertainment landscape. The series follows the brand’s balloon debut in the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which resulted in a sell-out of Macy’s collaborative merchandise in just 24 hours.
Each episode of The Milk Chug will be available on Cool Cats' YouTube channel, free to fans worldwide. The series launch is Cool Cats’ latest step in bridging the worlds of digital collectibles, animation, and immersive storytelling.
