LOS ANGELES -- Technicolor VFX, a fully integrated team within Technicolor’s post-production business, has appointed Paul Ghezzo as Creative Director for its Los Angeles Studio.

The Emmy-winning Ghezzo’s hire completes Technicolor VFX’s global leadership team, headed by Rachel Matchett and including Gary Brown in London and Kevin Chandoo in Toronto.

After nearly five years as the Head of CG at CoSA VFX, Ghezzo joins Technicolor VFX with almost twenty years of features and episodic experience, culminating in an Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects for his work as CG Supervisor on the hit HBO show Westworld.  Ghezzo has also worked as a CG/VFX supervisor on a variety of large-scale features and episodic shows, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Iron Man 3, The Orville and Man Of Steel.

“I am extremely excited to join Technicolor and to help shepherd, unite and grow an already great VFX division,” said Ghezzo. “Expanding our VFX capabilities along with the technical, artistic and service synergies that Technicolor Post currently offers will allow us to be a one-stop-shop from concept to completion!”

“Paul brings a wealth of CG experience, which will elevate the skillset of not just our Los Angeles studio, but of our Toronto and London studios as well,” stated Matchett.  “Now that I have my leadership team in place, Technicolor VFX will continue to support our talented Post family with our time-sensitive work, while growing a more extensive VFX offering to a new client base.”

With creative VFX teams located in London, Toronto and Los Angeles, recent credits for Technicolor VFX include The Romanoffs, This Is Us, The Avengers: Infinity War, Stranger Things and Ant Man and The Wasp.
