TAAFI Issues 2016 Call for Entries

The Toronto Animation Arts Festival International now accepting online submissions for animated shorts, feature films, commercials, game trailers and motionography.

TORONTO, CANADA -- The Toronto Animation Arts Festival International (TAAFI) has announced the TAAFI 2016 call for animated submissions.

TAAFI has begun accepting online submissions for animated shorts, feature films, commercials, game trailers, and motionography to be screened in competition at TAAFI 2016, a three-day animation arts extravaganza in Toronto, April 22-24.

Now in its fifth year, TAAFI is now on the international animation festival circuit, recently listed as a "Can’t Miss Event" in Animation Magazine’s June 2015 issue, and animation historian Jerry Beck calls TAAFI a “world-class animation festival” and “the real deal!”

Selected films will be eligible for the coveted Golden Taffy in these juried categories:

  • Audience Choice
  • Best International Short
  • Best Canadian Short
  • Best Student Short
  • Fest Grand Prix

Animation filmmakers are welcome to submit their work through January 31, 2016. TAAFI 2016 official selections announcements will be made February 15, 2016.  There is no submission fee for TAAFI 2016 submissions.
