From Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, the 3DCG animated feature shows how the Swan Princess’ journey truly began, following Uberta’s rise to royalty and all she learned along the way.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment invites audiences to travel back to the beginning of a 20-year royal journey with Swan Princess: A Fairytale is Born, coming to DVD and Digital May 23.
In the 3DCG film, before becoming queen, Uberta was living a humble life with her husband Maximillian before she is suddenly thrust into royalty. Through triumph and tragedy, she learns the lessons needed to become a beloved Queen, all while raising the next generation of rulers.
When it’s time for Uberta to pass the royal scepter to Odette and Derek, rival Queen Wixom has plans of her own to ruin the kingdom’s greatest coronation.
Swan Princess: A Fairytale is Born stars Nina Herzog and Yuri Lowenthal. Richard Rich directs the film, and Rich, Seldon O. Young and Jared F. Brown produce. The screenplay is by Brian Nissen and the story by Rich and Brian Nissen.
