SUPER ROBOT MONKEY TEAM HYPERFORCE GO! creator and exec producer Ciro Nieli presents his proudest episodes in a two-part special with widescreen versions of "Wormhole," airing Feb. 13, 2006, at 8:30 pm and Belly Of The Beast, airing Feb. 20 at 8:30 pm during the action/adventure Jetix block on Toon Disney.
This time Chiro and his Robotic Monkey Team battle Astrozombies and a wormhole that sucks them into a journey through time and space in the widescreen debut episodes of Wormhole and Belly of the Beast. Celebrity voices include Greg Cipes, Mark Hamill, Corey Feldman, Clancy Brown and Tom Kenny.
SUPER ROBOT MONKEY TEAM HYPERFORCE GO! follows the adventures of a young teen named Chiro who, with the help of five high-tech cyborg monkeys transforms into the brave fighter, bold leader and hero he always wanted to be. The series was created by Nieli and is produced by Walt Disney Television Animation.
According to Nieli, all episodes of Super Robot Monkey Team have been animated in widescreen but were shown cropped in their broadcast form because, we did not have internal approval to broadcast them in the widescreen. We now have that approval as of episode 212 Wormhole. It will make a big difference because our show is very much composed and directed for a widescreen image, said Nieli.
The animated monkeys also recently enjoyed their own special Superbowl marathon on Feb. 5., which featured the premiere of the brand-new episode, Prototype, plus football themed interstitials and a special half-time show.
