A joint venture of the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film and FMX, ADP takes place May 4-6; projects in the fields of film, TV series, mobile content, games, cross- and transmedia will be accepted until February 21.
16th Animation Production Days (APD) is now accepting submissions. The co-production and financing platform for international animation projects in the German-speaking region will take place in Stuttgart from May 4-6, with online programs planned as well. The joint venture of the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film taking place May 3-8, 2022, and the FMX - Film & Media Exchange, onsite May 3-5, and online May 6, 2022.
Producers can submit their projects in the fields of film, TV series, mobile content, games, cross- and transmedia for the "Producer Programme" until February 21. Hybrid formats mixing animation with live-action are also eligible. Submit by January 31 for a savings on accreditation fees. A maximum of 50 projects will be selected for the APD’s "Producer Programme." Projects in early development benefit from detailed feedback and tips from potential co-producers and co-financiers. Representatives of broadcasters, streamers, world distributors, distributors, funding institutions and other investors can register for the APD's "Investor Programme." Information is available here. Submit by January 31 for a savings on accreditation fees.
Production companies and studios from the fields of animation, games, VR and VFX who are not presenting a project but are looking for projects to participate in as co-producers or service providers, can register for the "Producers for Co-Production Programme." The exclusive online program will offer industry insights for participants who are not in Stuttgart with included online offers from ITFS and FMX. Registration and information are available here.
Young producer/creator teams (maximum of two people) can submit their applications for the APD Talent Programme. Eight outstanding next-generation projects will be selected for APD 2022. The aim is to bring the newcomers together with established experts in the industry and thus facilitate their first steps in the international market. The selected talents will receive free accreditation for APD, and the costs for accommodation will also be covered. All information on how to apply is available here.
One of the 2022 talent projects will again be from the European talent initiative "Animation Sans Frontières." For the fifth time, APD teaming up with the training program supported by the EU's Creative Europe Programme, which is organized by the Animation Institute of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and three other European animation schools.
