STVDIO Media Animation Working for Wireless

Hong Kong toon house STVDIO Media Animation will develop original animated content and images for the burgeoning market of cellular telephones via an agreement with Crown Greetings. The animated content for MMS networks across the will be beamed to 3G mobile handsets in the Asia-Pacific region in fall 2003.

STVDIO Media will create content, including wallpaper and multimedia message service (MMS) graphics, under its own brand. STVDIO will introduce a variety of themed and character driven animation series, starting with a sports-themed line, which will include such animated gags as sumo wrestlers popping like balloons with pins. The content will also be offered to companies and studios seeking an outlet for presenting their brands or licensed images.

Larry Feign, md of STVDIO Media, said, We are excited about this opportunity to enter this marketplace during its development stage, and were in the right place to do it, since Asia-Pacific is the primary market for MMS worldwide. Although this venture represents only a small proportion of our overall development and production, we anticipate exponential growth, and plan to create a new division within our company with a full-time staff of talented and creative animators to meet the global demand for MMS content.

Based in Hong Kong, STVDIO Media is a leading animation production studio involved in programming and commercial projects on behalf of such major global clients as Walt Disney Television International, Coca-Cola, Yahoo! and Cartoon Network.

Crown Greetings, Ltd. (www.hallmarkhiya.com.sg/) has been making mobile content for three years throughout Asia covering the wide range of mobile messaging and phone personalization needs for consumers.
