Stuttgart Animated Fashion Last Call for Entries

The extended deadline for the submission to the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film Animated Fashion Award is Friday, March 23, 2012.

Announcement from the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film:

Filmmakers and fans of animated film should note that the extended deadline for the submission to the Animated Fashion Award (animated films on the subject of fashion) is Friday, March 23, 2012.

The pre-selection committee comprising animation filmmakers and fashion designers will nominate the three best submissions for the "Animated Fashion Award" with 1,000 Euros in prize money. The winner will receive an additional 2,000 Euros, and will be  given the unique opportunity to produce a commercially used web 2.0 trailer for Breuninger.

The awards ceremony will take place on May 12, 2012 as part of the 19th Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (8-13 May 8-13, 2012) at Breuninger. The Animated Fashion Show – including the "Rainbow Carpet" and the presentations of projects, interviews, celebrity & fashion talk, live music and live visuals, DJs as well as an exclusive fashion show.

Reminder: Animated Com – Special Award The festival is still seeking submissions for the Special Award: "Mercedes-Benz Classic: 60 Years of the SL" of the Animated Com Award. The deadline is April 15, 2012.

Prize money of 2,500 Euros will be given to the winner. Three nominees will also be offered a sum of 1,000 Euros each by the Daimler AG.

Special Award "Mercedes-Benz Classic: 60 Years of the SL" In addition to filmmakers and agencies, this competition is targeted at students from schools of film, design, and fine arts, and at media start-ups, who are invited to visualize the Mercedes-Benz SL sports car in an innovative way. No boundaries in concept or technique (from 3-D to Stop Motion) have been set for the animator. The submission, however, must be no longer than 5 minutes. Applicants are given creative freedom to employ their imagination and to realize their own visions, in order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Mercedes-Benz SL-series.
