GKIDS and Fathom Events bring Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki’s full feature catalog back to U.S. cinemas nationwide in addition to the debut screening of ‘Spirited Away: Live On Stage.’
GKIDS and Fathom Events will bring Studio Ghibli Fest to U.S. theaters again this year, featuring all 10 of Hayao Miyazaki’s iconic animated films with Studio Ghibli, with showings including exclusive selections from the documentary series 10 Years With Hayao Miyazaki. Additionally, this year includes the first North American screenings of Spirited Away: Live On Stage, featuring two separate full performances filmed during the production’s acclaimed run in Tokyo last year.
Studio Ghibli Fest 2023 will also honor Miyazaki with the first nationwide retrospective of his Studio Ghibli works, including several anniversary titles: the 35th Anniversary screenings of My Neighbor Totoro; 15th Anniversary screenings of Ponyo; and 10th Anniversary screenings of The Wind Rises.
