Stoopid Buddy Stoodios to Make First Appearance at MIPCOM

Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, the company behind the animated hit ‘Robot Chicken,’ will introduce its properties and projects to MIPCOM for the first time.

Stoopid Buddy Stoodios’ ‘Robot Chicken’ Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, home of the longest running stop-motion show on television, Robot Chicken, as well as Mattel’s WWE Slam City, L/Studio’s Friendship All-Stars, and MAD’s Spy vs. Spy, among many others, will descend on the Croisette in Cannes for the first time at the upcoming MIPCOM with the launch of an international sales and distribution operation.

Founded by actor Seth Green, John Harvatine IV, Matthew Senreich and Eric Towner, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios has positioned itself as a leader of next generation content, attracting an impressive portfolio of partners that includes Mattel, Disney, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros. and Sony, to name a few. Stoopid Buddy Stoodios’ award-winning work spans the animation gamut, ranging from charming hand-crafted animation all the way to high-end feature quality animation and everything in between.

As the company makes its first global push at MIPCOM, international distributors will get a first look at Stoopid Buddy’s multi-screen projects featuring the company’s signature visuals, character-driven stories and uncanny sensibility – unlike anything in the marketplace today, spanning TV, digital, movies and new media.

“Our business is a global business and we know there are terrific international partners out there who share like-minded views on the type of content we create and deliver,” said Eric Towner. “Creativity drives our work and our expanded business model reflects a passion to bring our unique content to audiences everywhere around the world.”

John Harvatine IV added, “MIPCOM is the natural international launching pad for us, and one that we targeted at the company’s inception two years ago. We knew we had to first establish ourselves in our home market before expanding globally. Having proven ourselves domestically, now is the right time for us to broaden our footprint and work with new partners outside of the US to bring Stoopid Buddy content to life in territories around the world.”

“The strength of The Buddies lies in our ability to create original concepts, memorable characters, and captivating stories that transcend boundaries, languages and cultures,” says Matthew Senreich. “We truly enjoy the collaborative process and are looking forward to exploring new content opportunities with partners around the globe.”
