New Disney+ Original series ‘Rangers of the New Republic’ and ‘Ahsoka’ will take place within the timeline of Jon Favreau’s hit series starring.
Grogu is about to make so many new friends! As part of the huge Investor Day event last Thursday, Disney announced that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are teaming up for two more series within The Mandalorian timeline: Rangers of the New Republic and Ahsoka. Rangers “will intersect with future stories and culminate in a climactic story event,” which sounds very much like the concept behind Marvel’s Avengers movies that culminated in Endgame. Perhaps they’re taking some cues from their sister company’s success.
Not much is known about the Ahsoka limited series either, except that it will feature fan favorite Ahsoka Tano played by the lovely and muscular Rosario Dawson, who was just introduced in The Mandalorian Chapter 13: The Jedi. Speaking of Mando-mania, the smash hit will be returning for a third season.
A release date has not yet been announced for either of the newly confirmed series.
