Taking place on Wednesday, July 24th from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center, the panel will include OLM Digital CGI director Yasuhiro Mikami, CGI producer Masashi Kobayashi, R&D supervisor Ken Anjyo and Sprite Animation Chief Creative Officer Moto Sakakibara. The panel will discuss the popularity of anime throughout the world and its unique expressiveness in contrast to western animation.

The session will feature a presentation of OLM’s popular work (such as the Pokémon movies and TV series) in 2D Animation, 3DCG and live-action films.  Discussions will include taking a look at OLM’s new anime styles and how OLM’s creative team continuously seeks to develop concepts and visual forms for the genre.

The session will also feture an in-depth discussion of the company’s newest project: the collaborative work with Sprite Animation on the production of the new PAC-MAN and The Ghostly Adventures animated series currently airing on Disney XD (recently ranked as the network’s top rated show for the week of June 10-16, 2013 in key demos.) Sprite Animation works with NAMCO BANDAI Games, Arad Productions, and 41 Entertainment, producing the animation for the hit CG-animated television series.
