SpinVFX Adds VFX Supervisor Edward Taylor

The industry veteran brings over 20 years of technical expertise and leadership experience to his new role; credits for digital modeling and look development on projects include ‘Tron: Legacy,’ ‘The Three Musketeers,’ ‘Resident Evil: Retribution,’ and ‘Penny Dreadful.’

SpinVFX has announce the addition of VFX Supervisor Edward Taylor to their creative team. Taylor brings two decades of technical expertise and VFX industry leadership experience to the position; his 3D modeling was key to reimagining some of the most iconic characters in recent film history, including Spider-Man himself in Spider-Man (2002), as well as Superman in Superman Returns (2006).

"Edward brings with him years of experience as a creative artist on the box and a bag of tricks of the trade that he’s learned both onset and during his journey in visual effects," remarked SpinVFX president, Neishaw Ali. "His expectations of quality creative excellence make him a great fit for Spin and I’m excited to have Edward join the Spin team!"

Taylor began his career at ILM in 1997, working on projects with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. He has worked at Sony Pictures Imageworks, Digital Domain, and Mr.X, overseeing digital modeling and look development on projects such as Tron: Legacy (2010), The Three Musketeers (2011) and Resident Evil: Retribution (2012) and Penny Dreadful (2014). He received the Canadian Screen Award for Achievement in Visual Effects for his work on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013), as well as nominations for Mama (2013), and for Killjoys (2015-2019).
