Speed Racer Laps Competition With Additional Licensees

New licensing deals continue to pour in as Speed Racer Enterprises prepares for the launch of the new animated television series SPEED RACER: THE NEXT GENERATION on Nicktoons Network, Nickelodeon's 24-hour animation network, on May 2, 2008.

The following companies are joining the blue-chip roster of licensees for both SPEED RACER: THE NEXT GENERATION and the classic SPEED RACER animated television series:

Bendon Publishing International represents numerous top-tier brands and is one of the fastest growing children's book publishers. The company will produce activity books, workbooks, flash cards, reward stickers, educational kits, board books, story books and fun activity kits for both SPEED RACER brands. Product will begin to roll-out in Q2 2008.

Family owned and operated for more than 70 years, CADACO has established a reputation for creating vibrant and innovative toys and games for the entire family. CADACO has been tapped for Crayon Paper coloring sets, Creata-Clings, gel sticker making sets, electronic and non-electronic board games, as well as outdoor toys including the Wheel Racer. CADACO will begin to roll-out product for both brands in Q2 2008.

Awesome Toys, an emerging key player in the toy and game manufacturing industry, will design their patented Regener8r's Vehicles, action figures, novelty toy pens, handheld games and sunglasses for both SPEED RACER brands. Product will be available in Q2 2008.

Attraction Media & Ent. specializes in the creation of branded attractions for the out-of-home market including the creation of 3D/4D film and simulation experiences. The company will develop simulation ride films for theme parks based on both SPEED RACER brands as well as explore licensing opportunities for other types of attractions. The films will go into production in the next several months and will be available for worldwide distribution shortly thereafter.

A global industry leader, Advanced Graphics will lend their nearly 25 years of expertise to create life-size standees for both SPEED RACER brands. Standees are available now.

SPEED RACER: THE NEXT GENERATION (26 x 30') is geared toward a new generation of 6-14-year-old viewers and builds on the legendary adventures of the original iconic series. After leaving an orphanage, Speed arrives at the Racing Academy and discovers that he is the son of the world famous Speed Racer who had gone missing many years ago. Between studying and racing, Speed must uncover the secret to his father's disappearance, all while avoiding the evil schemes of oil tycoon Zile Zazic.

SPEED RACER (52 x 30') made its original debut in 1967 in Japan and was dubbed into English and syndicated nationally on television. After 40 years, it is one of entertainment's most recognizable animated cultural icons. The classic series explores the passion of a teenage racer with the most powerful and stylish car on the planet, the unsurpassed Mach 5, and centers on friendship and family issues amidst the world of high-octane racing.
