Barcelona, Spain -- Imira Entertainment is heading to next month’s Asia Television Forum with a raft of new sales signed in the region.

Sandra, The Fairytale Detective (52x13’) has been snapped up by Media Corp TV12 for Free TV Singapore and by CH-9 Media for Free TV in Malaysia. In Vietnam, Hanoi TV / Ho Chi Minh TV has acquired Free TV rights to Lola & Virginia (52X12´) and Sandra, The Fairytale Detective (52X13´) via a deal with local distributor Thaole Entertainment.

In further deals, Zee Learn TV Channel has acquired Free and Pay TV rights to Vitaminix (104X2´) for Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, while Good TV has picked upcable and satellite rights for Taiwan and the Philippines, to Saari (39X3´).

These new agreements follow recent Asian deals for Imira’s brand new show Lucky Fred with Tooniverse in South Korea (Pay TV) and RTM in Malaysia (Free TV), two of the most recent channels to snap up the animated series. They join additional Asian broadcasters Nickelodeon Asia and South Korea and Disney India on board the show.

Christophe Goldberger, Producer and Head of Distribution and Marketing at Imira Entertainment said: “These new deals for Imira-produced programming underscores the growing Asian market for our shows - also emphasized by the recent additional deals for Lucky Fred. We are very excited by the potential of this 360º property globally. As well as scope for consumer products, the interactive geo-localised app technology has a wealth of cross-promotional opportunities and can be tailored for any location worldwide. It’s the ideal accompaniment to the television series, encouraging kids to immerse themselves in the Lucky Fred world and explore their environment as special agents just like Fred, Friday and Brains.”

Imira will be at ATF stand A05 showcasing a slate headlined by Lucky Fred, Sandra, the Fairytale Detective and the classic series Koki which Imira has acquired for worldwide third party distribution from producers: PPM Multimedia, Cinenic and Children Television Workshop. The 26x5’ Prix Jeunesse and New York Film Festival Award-winning claymation preschool series follows a family of chickens, including little hen Koki. She is growing up learning about responsibilities and friendship, and the joys and trials of having a younger sibling.
